feeling like I need new voices, but nothing or nobody clear has emerged yet from the burbling chaos. Mona Clark has subsided into silence, taking Alyx Woodward with her. I could just try reviving them but something doesn't feel right about that.

reminds me that one of the little character traits I was planning on giving Chara Dreemurr (older, returned to life in the modern day after decades away) was an embarrassing taste for '80s power ballads

went to put on the Cranberries' "Dreams" to make myself feel better, instead put on Van Halen's "Dreams" by mistake. And it's kind of making me feel better too, honestly...in a kind of cheesy '80s power rock way.

it feels a little different from Loki but I'm not sure. could be wishful thinking, skewing my perception of events; I've been kinda wanting a shakeup, and the idea of getting contacted by unfamiliar deities is therefore an appealing one.

but I got used to a kind of pattern with Loki's interventions; they often took the form of "punchlines", for lack of a better way of putting it. like, following up on emotional climaxes with some ridiculous interruption that can instantly transform my mood.

this has been different. not so melodramatic, just a series of unwelcome little surprises throughout the day.
