@listelian ah, then I have been dragging a bit. partly it's grinding, partly it's avoiding running (which seems more often then not just to blunder me into bad fights)

@kel @Ulfra_Wolfe do you have PDFs of the Mage: the Ascension books? I'm poking around a bit and not finding anything yet

@kel huh, that's a good point. like, they were supposed to be more than just "intellectual" though, they were supposed to be the disciplined, dutiful, organized one. now, there's nobody who has that side to them at all. you're about as organized as a scrambled egg, and...I dunno about @chara...

@kara_dreamer well, let's think about this a bit... *scratches muzzle thoughtfully* Ulfra would recommend making actual character sheets for ourselves, I bet, because that way we'd get a better idea of what aspects of ourself aren't properly covered by an existing persona.

like, are _you_ the intellectual now? not Mono / Mona? because that was kinda their raison d'etre, so if you're now the academic, that would probably be why Mona (and Alyx) have kinda disappeared.

Hoooo boy I am tired and have way too much to say BUT

Today was awesome. Sonic All Stars Racing is great but the arcade machine sucks, Silent Scope: Bone Eater is the Ghost in the Shell game I’ve always wanted, Taiko is great but I’m only now realizing Donkey Konga absolutely ripped it off... and Time Crisis 4 has an extremely good physical gimmick but the game itself is pretty forgettable.

@listelian how long would it say it took you to get through the game? I'm up to about 40 hours that have seemed like 40 years

well, looks like some kind of trinity is restored. Kel, me, and Chara again. Still feels like there's a void, though...

@chara guess someone has to, to break me out of the spells I put myself under, huh...

ok, Chara, you've got a deal.

it's good to have you back

@chara *snorts* have you decided to be the personality who yells at me to keep me in line?

but I will say this even more strenuously than I've already said it: I'm not really enjoying "Mother 3". Playing it has been work, not entertainment. Occasionally, there'll be a breath of sweeter air. The chapter that's just Lucas and Boney and the spirit of Hinawa in the field of flowers was like an oasis in a desert. The Tazmily townsfolk provide some other emotional moments, and then there's the drug trip on Tanetane Island--but even that felt like a weak attempt at reprising material that was more dramatically and effectively treated in "EarthBound".

When's this game get _good_, dammit? I'm almost to the last chapter.

really not sure what to make of the presentment. like, it's insulting, but it's also...kinda cool, considering the source material? the saving grace is that "Mother 3" presents them more or less without undue comment. I think one of the Tazmily townsfolk makes some comment that Ionia looks odd, but that's about it really.

@ansate I found one mention of baker's ammonia that suggested it's best for thin items like cookies, because thicker items might not allow all the ammonia gas, released by the thermal decomposition of the ammonium carbonate, to get driven out of the cake. I'm tempted to try an experiment

absolute confirmation that all the Magypsies in "Mother 3" are all magical immortal transwomen: PICKLES witches.town/media/u9SSIMWJz3G
