I should give this new stuff a try then. I sound down on Red Dwarf but I like Lister a lot, even in poor quality Red Dwarf
The last season was a thing to watch, because everyone had aged so visibly. It was still a comedy show, but they didn't shy away from the bleakness of the situation.
I, at least, enjoyed it a lot.
@kara_dreamer I mean, it's had some low points to be sure, but the last season (this time last year) was... weirdly touching?
Like, they've set up this idea that these dudes are stuck in space forever.
And so they skipped, like 10 years? and then gave us a glimpse back in to their lives in real time.
It was kind of sad, but in a good way. Comforting to see Lister and co. still plodding along in space, getting by as they march every forward toward the inevitable head death of the universe.
