@chalcedony I like this idea. it fits in with some half-formed ideas that I've had about how, if we regard consciousness as a property of communications networks, then that doesn't exclude the possibility of very slowly acting "brains" operating at very low bandwidth, on a network of nodes connected by slow and indirect means
