I really wonder if Hillary Clinton has even a little glimmer of suspicion in her mind that maybe, just maybe, she was a hopelessly weak and compromised candidate for President if being made fun of for being a money-grubbing party hack was enough to disrupt it.

Clinton and her fans utterly adore the game of deriding anyone to their left as being "unrealistic", but what was "realistic" about her candidacy? What made her think her negative associations would miraculously not count?

@kara_dreamer I made the same point on the Birdhouse, but it amazes me how many can't comprehend that she's Trump's colleague and social peer-- and that so much of the campaign and post-campaign theatrics are her covering up for the fact that she had no stones for the fight at all.

@amylsacks Why is she even still quarrelling about this anyway?! The country is bleeding, dying before our eyes, and months later she and her partisans are STILL whingeing about how unfair the press was and how the "BernieBros" are to blame. Is this what her presidency would have been like? Bad decisions and mishandled policy fights followed by endless complaints about how unfair it all was? Was this our purported master politician?

I'm old enough to remember how the "progressives". who bashed Nader would cry and cry about the sanctity of the primary system. If you wouldn't submit to it, you were automatically lower than a worm.

Now we've moved on to primary challenges being inherently misogynistic and traumatizing. (And I'm not even a Bernie fan but even I know a moving goalpost when I see one.)

@amylsacks Yeah, I wasn't a huge Sanders fan either, but it's partly due to Clinton's death-grip on the Democratic apparatus that we got saddled with Sanders as our only alternative, anyway. She sucked all the air out of the race.

@kara_dreamer It's a continual source of dismay to me that any so-called feminist thinks she's the best we could ever hope to do.

These fools bought the shoddy, ugly trinkets with their lazy, fake-ass "reclamation" and called that "resistance."

They gobbled down the warmed-over legacy pablum, brought to them by the family that screwed over millions of women around the world for more profit than *anyone* could possibly need, and called that liberating. It makes me furious.
