@kara_dreamer ...I guess I don't remember having to grind really in Mother 3? Maybe I just got lost a lot and thus fought a lot of battles. (Or are you going for rare drops / rare encounters?)
@listelian I'm (a) bad at games and (b) playing on an emulator, so the annoying-as-shit "rhythm" mechanic has a lag imposed on it and basically doesn't work half the time. the only way I can stand a chance of not dying in random encounters (and there are SO MANY OF THEM) is by leveling way up.

Though, really, at this point you should have a feeling for the sort of experiences Mother 3 is going to spring at you.
