Hm, trying to think whether I like that the Thoth #tarot deck has symbolic rather than pictorial representations of most of the minor cards. It's nice to have the little tableaux, with people doing stuff.
@kara_dreamer for me Thoth is best for major arcana and court cards really ... though the geometries and colors of some minor cards speak to me a lot
@Eve that aspect of it _does_ appeal to me, but I feel like the schematic nature of the minor cards lends itself to a different sort of approach. I can almost see some odd approach to using the deck like shuffling the major and court cards separately from the minor cards, then dealing out some of each
@kara_dreamer that's interesting. the minor cards feel much more practical than the majors in the sense of concrete action, where the majors/court show bigger influences, directions, overall patterns ...
the drawback I suppose would be that in some cases there just aren't big things going on, or the global part is super important, so it might be that the relative density of cases get skewed
