this is a question for everybody, but in particular @Ulfra_Wolfe who asked me about it: which one of these strikes you as a good symbol for the hearth?
The first two I found when searching for symbols claimed to be associated with Hestia, ancient Greek goddess of the hearth; I don't know their authenticity (slight enough, I suspect, not that it matters TOO much.) The second two are variations on the astrological sign for Vesta, the Roman version of Hestia. https://witches.town/media/-DzOwcRouwLC-PT6FUA https://witches.town/media/sSZZtGMUoWYoM99l2Wg https://witches.town/media/uuQ8OXx4G3TgpPhTUes https://witches.town/media/MUcf1p_8cbGxNwdQ7CI
@Thaminga @Ulfra_Wolfe Ah, that's good to know. I wasn't entirely certain that's what it was, because I've seen other symbols for Vesta in that sense, like this one
@kara_dreamer @Ulfra_Wolfe Astrological vs. astronomical signs! They can diverge pretty widely. See Uranus and Pluto for instance - astronomical first, astrological second for each. https://awoo.space/media/a8jeQSAjMnyQevDfYc8 https://awoo.space/media/sms2UkdqUg4_sHUL70k https://awoo.space/media/XyNIEIoI_QkFkidMpAQ https://awoo.space/media/Wf8Tj1iGwkpZOahhBKQ
