@Irick it's something I'm learning to live with. the situation involving all the people directly involved (it's not a large number but their friends and mine are overlapping sets) is extraordinarily inflamed and irrational, largely (so far as I can tell) due to the activities of one person with a history of doing shit like this; I can't get anywhere near it so I've given up all hope of repairing the breach.
