planned #witchcraft stuff

on Wednesday my gardening job required me to assist in cutting down a huge clump of slender hazelnut trunks, growing out of the stump of a once massive tree, and stripping them for a friend to use. I decided to take two home myself with the idea of making magickal staves from them; one has an appealingly symmetrical fork at one end. How long do you think I'll have to let these sit before they're ready to work on?
