Our next partnered exhibition is in march but also literally the whole team might not still have jobs by then so. Emotional.

It'll hopefully be an ongoing partnership & has obvs enabled the staff to grow and develop professionally but also the staff's position in the gallery is... Fraught.. Rn, so it's complicated

It's been a rly incredible partnership & being able to give over so much of the physical, conceptual, operational space of the gallery has been amazing

As a Pākehā & also part of the (v colonial) gallery my views are obvs limited but this has been such an incredible experience and time & Paemanu are v much whānau and I'm really sad it's time for the show to close

It's our last day before we fly out for a conference in Samoa but it's also the last weekend of the exhibition so we're missing it & things are quite emotional

It's hui a iwi this weekend, the anniversary of their settlement with the crown so the whole town is super busy and I love it
