I started doing resolution stuff mid last week and wow it's actually working I haven't given up on Jan 1st. I mean it's just daily taking meds, brushing teeth, & facial skincare but still
@zeborah yeah I'm usually pretty good with meds so I'm using that for a basis of a night routine! I'm usually in bed way before I go to sleep & meds are right there so it's been tricky to convince myself to actually get up
@jenkshields Yeah, I'd struggle with that too! My main challenge at night is starting the go-to-bed routine at all; once I've started I'm in bed and asleep within 15 minutes but getting up off the couch is an exercise in "just five more minutes" for sometimes hours.
@jenkshields (And I had a separate breakthrough for teeth brushing in the morning specifically, which was when I read that it's more helpful to do before breakfast than after: previously I'd been trying to have breakfast then go back to do teeth and it never flowed. But as part of shower-teeth-dress it works perfectly, and *then* I can go have breakfast. So it was creating a chain that works.)
@jenkshields I had a breakthrough with taking meds and brushing teeth once I realised you could chain habits. So like I've got a going-to-bed routine and a getting-up routine, so I "just" add the meds and teeth-brushing to those, and I still sometimes skip a time but *so* much less than I used to.
