@Josephine @Eve I have a travelling companion but she cannot come with me today. She doesn't really understand either. I'm doing okay so far. Some modern art helped me and then hit me hard in the gut. Heading to a snack now and then museum number two. The city is so lovely I just want to walk around and enjoy.

@Eve a big part of me wants them to be the meanest, or at least the one where they do the worst in accepting you as you are.

Everyone has been super nice and also has treated me as a woman, with very few stares and some which could have been imagined.

I have a lot of bullshit to untangle re: transphobia and I'm not sure I can deal with it right now.

As is, I'm going to take a shower, then head to the Stedelijk Museum and hopefully the Photography museum.

@Eve Currently visiting Amsterdam, which is a beautiful city and I love it so much and I really really want to go explore more museums and walk around and take in more of the city.

I'm having possibly the worst dysphoria day of the last few months and this has to happen in the middle of vacation?

I feel like I look like a freak and people will treat me as some type of freak if I leave the hotel room today.

I'm nervous and socially anxious as fuck and being in a foreign country is just fucking with all my perceptions enough.

The "everyone is just putting up with me because that's the social acceptable thing to do" is strong with me today.

If someone told me that this country is actually super mean and unaccepting to trans people right now that would make my day because they've been mostly neutral and not super weird.

It feels like I have a middle point of every day where I'm feeling like shit about my appearance. Then some point happens and I start not caring or something and can just be happy about what beauty I have.

A day and a half of air travel means an #ootd for comfort. Got through two instances of security and customs and now, vacation!

The final card is our page of cups reversed - Ruby, in this case. Normally when upright this ruby signifies taking risks with love or being open to new relationships, which matches with Ruby pretty perfectly given her show role. Reversed, that power is a little more reserved, missing the mark for a full open-ness in some way. It's something interesting to think about..

Query: Will I be able to meet anyone?

The first card is the Ten of Wands, with Amethyst laying with her whip in the sludge. This is a strong sense of being responsible or encumbered, that you need to put together some stuff to get your goal. Much like the episode with the smoke monster where she needs to get her gusto and persevere.

The current card is the Ten of Cups, feeling at home, being optimistic, or a calm after a storm. The combination of Garnet and Stevonnie here is perfect. There's a great amount of feeling like you are whole and complete along with this.

@kara_dreamer totally reasonable. I definitely interpret some of the cards through the whole series but it's also informed by the art on the card a lot.

@kara_dreamer Yea, I just get a little strange about making the connotations from later parts of the arc given that she's pretty associated with Peridot's hand in this art version.

In the successor we have Justice. A strong indicator of fairness, truth and law coming soon. We could also read this as having something like a just reward coming, or a continuing of the search for the inner truth hinted at by the current card. Jasper is not a bad instance of this because you might think of Jasper as "the law" coming to punish things. I don't really like it as another interpretation.

Query: Generic Travelling Anxiety

The precedent is he ten of pentacles. It's a sign of final fulfillment and financial reward. Despite some setbacks and worries, you've made it. This card being illustrated with Steven and Lion is about perfect as it is kind of a reward for hard work to be able to rest. Inverted it is held back a little from the worry that happened yesterday.

Currently we have the four of cups inverted. Usually this means that we are looking into the self to find the core of what we are. The inversion here could mean that something is blocking finding this, and I think in this case it might be worry that I'm ready for the trip.
