In the successor we have Justice. A strong indicator of fairness, truth and law coming soon. We could also read this as having something like a just reward coming, or a continuing of the search for the inner truth hinted at by the current card. Jasper is not a bad instance of this because you might think of Jasper as "the law" coming to punish things. I don't really like it as another interpretation.
@kara_dreamer Yea, I just get a little strange about making the connotations from later parts of the arc given that she's pretty associated with Peridot's hand in this art version.
@jamuraa ah, gotcha. if I get this deck I'd probably interpret it through the lens of my personal SU headcanon, which has been informed partly by fanfic :p
@kara_dreamer totally reasonable. I definitely interpret some of the cards through the whole series but it's also informed by the art on the card a lot.
@jamuraa I have a somewhat more sympathetic view of Jasper than most, so the connection with "Justice" doesn't seem inapt, although her notion of what is just is corrupted (pun not intended).
