Fedora 8.
It had a background that changed in colour depending on the time. You could roughly tell the time from that alone.
No other OS has ever had that. I miss the fuck out of it and it was like ten years ago.

(I remember working on the one for Fedora 9... I think I wrote an awful shell script that used ImageMagick to let us see per-half-hour previews of it)
