I saw what I presume were a bunch of American goldfinches earlier today. #BIRD.

So yesterday I saw this "hard cider" on sale and I was like, whatevs, why not? So I got it and drank it, a modest amount of booze.
1. It didn't really taste that great.
2. Drinking didn't really make me feel that great, either.
3. It mucked up my sleep a bit, too, and I didn't like that.

#1 of course is something that can be fixed by drinking something else, but #2 and #3 suggest the result that I probably am not interested in anything other than a small amount of good-tasting booze from now on.

noooooo this is one of the weeks between terms (summer and fall) so the place that has dollar coffee on mondays is closed.

worst part is that the gym will be completely crowded at all times now.

Need to figure out my #eclipse plans. I'm a short 3 hour drive away from the totality zone.

Re-read Wrinkle in Time on plane ride to the conference. Was as good as remembered, am stoked for the movie. #WrinkleInTime

Back from conference, decided not to just take the day off.

Almost time to leave the conference. Was a good time.

Ethiopian was pretty good, but as seems to always be the case, they mix up orders, have slow service, etc. The Afghani place was great, the interior was extremely professional, etc. Of course the vegan options at the Ethiopian restaurant were abundant. Was very happy with the veggie options at the Afghani place.

Had Ethiopian for lunch, Afghani for dinner. Very good.
