so in my hometown apparently people are threatening to write bad reviews of this restaurant because they employ an antifascist and it turns out it's somebody i totally made out with like 15 years ago. the restaurant is of course standing behind her because fuck the fascists.

@Maenad RIGHT. I mean, there is the thing that it does make them susceptible and that this is also the route to winning them back from the hands of these vile people, but it's no excuse. They can and should be reached.

But it also belies what we're seeing in the protests: a lot of these people showing up to the protests have money. They have *very* expensive guns. They're flying all over the country. They're from the suburbs, not Appalachia.

this week has been awful: the new students come like a week before classes so things are starting to get overrun with 18-yr-olds and it's a hint that the glorious emptiness of this town is about to end.
