hmm. my town is having an event protesting white nationalism (etc) tomorrow. on the one hand, maybe i should show up. on the other, i hate crowds and people and doing things.

@nergdron whoa whoa whoa - the ACLU is behaving very consistently with the way they've acted throughout their existence, like it or not. They're there to support what one might call "procedural justice", which has all the flaws that one can rather quickly think up.

@Hector it may be for the best that they didnt' mention they were anti-fascist demonstrators, as in some quarters (ie with conservatives) there's a false equivalence about antifa so they would be seen as deserving rather than victims. Without that identification, there's the clear story that the fascists are murdering good people. But, yeah, it's bull shit. The Wobblies (and others) are on the line fighting the fascists and don't get any respect for it.
