oh no the big conference is in like 12 days and i totally have to finish my research still

@holocronweaver I might do that, at least pointing which existing programs I used and which I didn't - but I suspect it would be specific to Fedora and my ancient Garmin Forerunner 205 as it sounds like newer ones use a different format maybe which might make it easier

So I pick up heavy things and put them down but recently decided maybe I should try to go from point A to point B quickly every once in a while, too, preferably on foot. So I'm almost done iwth Couch to 5K and I dug out an old GPS watch thing I had for some reason. Did you know it's really hard to get Linux to work with those things? Specifically Garmin. People wrote some free software (GOD BLESS YOU, THANK YOU) but poorly documented it and it's old so you have to figure out how to get it to work right. Also web sites to track this data seem to kind of suck - always wanting to sell things. #running

apparently power is out on a lot of the campus and the chilled water air conditioning system which a most of the buildings use is also dead today. temperature still moderate in my office.

it was so awful - the internet at my house was out for like 25 hours.

Internet at home was down since 9pm last night. Not sure if back up, am at office. Got little work done today. Hopefully it's working when I get back home.
