YALL, So, there is a movie coming out called "Gringo" started a black man, so I decided to look it up (bc I've only ever seen it used towards white people).

And depending on the location, "gringo" changes meaning!

In Mexico, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador, "gringo" is for white folks (especially those who don't speak Spanish).

BUT for everybody else, it's just North American with the subtext of someone whose native language is not Spanish and can include Black American/Canadian folks.

4/5 cute, charming, funny, has a happy ending, and there is actual character growth

This book is so good bc really who hasn't fallen in love over the internet

But also I didn't plan on being invested in this book only to have this darling boy be outed to his entire high school
