My goal for the next few months/this year is grow into caring less and less how people react to me vs. others.
I am pretty self-assured now, in that, if I want to do something, I will do it regardless of what other people think/feel (unless it's hurting someone/something). However I will still often compare or remember my treatment to someone else who says/does something similar.
And this comparison hurts because I never win, and it brings me down, if even for a little bit.
Anyone relate? Any advice?
personal, I guess Afficher plus
@guerrillarain If I get caught in a loop, I'll tell myself "There's over seven billion people on the planet. Are you planning to compare yourself to all of them?"
It also ties into self-care and stress levels for me, so if I'm finding myself comparing too much and getting brought down as a result, I do a check to see where i'm at.
If it's really bad, I'll start doing things like "OK, counting the worlds population, here we go. 7.6 billion. 7,599,999,999. 7,599,999,998."
