Is there a tech-friendly way to make a wiki? I have too many characters doing their own things and living their lives and I want to be able to keep track of everything.

however I am not very tech savvy so setting this up is... daunting.

However I may just make profile pages for them and stick it on my blog. Who wants to know Freya's personality quirks?

@guerrillarain You could get an Obsidian Portal membership

@guerrillarain I know some friends use "chara-hub" to show their characters but I have *no idea* what it looks like or if it fits your need :/

@guerrillarain there's lots of like cloud hosted wiki solutions where to don't have to do setup yourself. so you want help digging some up?

@guerrillarain

What's your platform of choice so I can make a relevant suggestion?

@guerrillarain I use a program called ZIM Desktop Wiki, it only exists on your computer and is almost as easy to use as a word processor. zim-wiki.org/

I use Zim wiki, too. It's open source and available for Windows and Linux (in the repository on most distros.) I use it as a personal organizer, project planner, note taking app & journal, but it's very flexible and you can probably set it up how you want. Actually I should use it to track characters for my novel!

@snipejaeg @guerrillarain Yep. Tiddlywiki is nice and simple. Some browsers might need some fiddling to save properly, which decreases the "easy to use" factor but there's also Tiddlydesktop github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyDes

@guerrillarain There's tiddlywiki, a self-contained wiki in a single file. They have a google drive plugin if you need to remote.

@guerrillarain Twine might be a decent way of doing this--basically you just need to cross reference a bunch of character/location/etc pages for your own personal use, right? It's pretty easy to get it set up and running, you can have a nice visual map of all of your pages, things like that. Let me know if you want some more info.
