I went into a sensory deprivation tank today. Wild.
@Filene It depends on each person. I guess the more you go, the more you can adjust to it to really focus or think about something. But I felt totally relaxed, the water was at body temp too so you kinda forget you're there.
@guerrillarain wow, the one I waited at had a nice waiting room, but I forgot what such a transition'd be like.. Did they have a less good recovery room, or none? Hmm..
@Filene none, you step out into a bright light directly into a shower and it's private but it's right next to another unit so no kind of buffer or anything.
@Filene HOWEVER when everything was over was really upsetting because you go from silence and darkness and floating and peace to bright lights and noise and the cold. Really jarring and probably moreso if I wasn't already awake in the tank.
