Also along the line of my teenage dreams, he smokes.

My dream guy was a chain smoker. Don't ask why. I was weird as shit.

I think actually talking to crushes helps, though. All he had to do was mention his cishet views on gender, with me in the conversation, ostensibly AMAB and wearing a jumper dress and knee-high boots

It happen to me twice :
First time I was doing an internship 26km from home, one day I realised an other intern there lived in the same student building than I, same floor, 10 m from my appartment.
Second time, I worked 18km from home an a coworker (in a team of 30 people) lived 800 m away from me, after I made my CO as a trans women, my coworker told me she was secertly a woman too… Best surprise ever 😄
