whenever I'm roleplaying or otherwise doing a writing collaboration and it's deemed necessary for something sexual to happen or be alluded to, I like to recommend that everyone listen to the Seether cover of "Careless Whisper" so that nobody gets the wrong idea and thinks that anything involving my characters is actually going to be sexy
while I'm thinking about it, does anyone else feel that some casting decisions for live-action anime lately feels... misaimed?
for example, the American live-action Death Note made a big deal of having a diverse cast when it's originally set entirely in Japan and makes sense for most of the cast to be Japanese, whereas there was a rumored Attack on Titan (I think) adaptation that had an all-Japanese cast when, for plot reasons, it would make more sense for them to have a varied group. these things are probably down to studio location and availability of actors but it still strikes me as odd
