does anyone know a good way to look up a very specific injury and how it might heal without coming across pictures

@Efi probably! I can picture the injury itself pretty well in my head but I'm trying to work out how it would heal (probably... not well)
@gravezwave it depends on the depth, wether it's a cut or a rip, the coagulation factor, the nutrition of the individual, the tissues affected, wether there's infection...

@gravezwave if it's a defensive move, likely, if the machete is sharp, definitely
in any case, the scar would be very visible, the skin on the hands is very thin, so any cut stays as a scar
if the hand gets cut deep, not only would it be an ugly scar, but a permanent damage, constant pain and difficulty closing the hand
don't stop blades with your hand, it's a bad idea
