@eden passing through London over Christmas with my daughter, getting off the tube she said to me, "I forget people can be so horrid"; and I'm like huh? Oblivious as usual to my surroundings, and she's like, didn't you see those old people being really mean to the trans lady sitting beside you? And me hadn't noticed the girl sat beside me at all, why, what did they do? "They were making faces and whispering and you could tell she was really uncomfortable." My daughter may have unusual parents but it still felt like a really generational thing. We may still be at the thin end of the change, but it's there.
