Does anyone know how to fix a phone when it only charges at a certain angle of the wire?
Is that it just being _on the way out_? :(
I've had it around 3 years,and use it similarly to how I use my limbs, so I feel like it must be kinda on that way anyway unfortunately.
It's annoying because I really really like the type of phone I have - it's a sony xperia so it's like waterproof and has a touchbutton on the side.
I might just get another of the same type. I don't want to upgrade if I can't have it waterproof and solid and stuff :(
@eden doubt it's repairable without fucking up the waterproofing but it's generally worth trying one of those sketchy repair shops before you write a phone off; remember they'll attempt to skim your nudes and stuff tho lol
@eden lol yep. I've repaired older phones myself in the past, mileage varies; you might find a yt walkthrough
@eden you could try a wee puff from an air duster, solvents have magickal properties
@gracie Hm. I don't have one at home? I only really have WD50 and the like and I feel like that'd fuck it up more.
@eden yeah don't
@gracie Yeah it turned out it was lint. Removed it with a pin and it's like fine at any angle. Will try an air duster when I next get a chance though :)
@eden glad you fixed it! First thing repair shops try on a laptop is an air duster, a phone's really just a mini laptop
@gracie I'll look! Thanks, I was going to poke around the connector to remove any fluff and then give up :)
