wait: CC licenses expire after you die, right, so your work is just in the public domain? or do the stipulations of CC licenses persist after death? (if so, when do those expire? ever?)
this seems like it should be both obvious and an easy thing to nail down, but I'm having trouble finding any good discussion of the question... is there a #librarian here who could enlighten me?
David Roberts, a writer for Vox perfectly summed up the way I have been thinking, lately, buy have been too lazy, or just unable to express. He does this in the context of the NY Time Opinion Page, and their desire to reflect "diversity," but his general analysis of the myth of modern conservatism and just how far away from reality those pundits and writers are, when you take even the shortest glance at Trump's base, is what got my attention.

my brain is a thing as too much
I want a billion dollar Black queer sci fi movie franchise produced and distributed by a Black owned production house.
I want more. I want us to keep pushing
I want a trans adventure
period piece starring written by and owned by trans people. I want them to tell their own stories and get rich doing it.
I. Want. More.
WRT diversity, I see the billboards around town for so many new shows and movies that are just, like...identical-looking white guys with brown hair and a bit of stubble
Like thanks that tells me so much???
"genre" and "gender" are the same word in French and it happened once that I talked about "musical genders"
Who puts the bro into brochure?
- researchers often use masculine-coded "risks" and don't perceive feminine things as risky - e.g. day trading vs getting pregnant, working in a hostile industry, or quitting your job to be a stay at home parent
- "risk-taking" as conventionally measured is more a signifier of being a *hierarchical, individualist white* male - not male in general. That is, people who genuinely feel safer/have less to lose
Anyway, still going through, have more quotes to post.
