Fun Thing:

The other day in a store we found a unicorn plush. Then we noticed that it was actually note a horse-based unicorn, but instead is a cow-based unicorn. Then we noticed that's actually a bull cow, so it's really a tricorn.
Alternatively, it's a modern triceratops.

Reminder that I have three short story zines. Each one with an original story and its Spanish translation. They're pay what you can (and it's v much ok to pay nothing, esp if you're trans). Check em out!

So I'm doing an analysis of monolingual toots to gauge the effectiveness of cld3 in language classification for something the size of an average toot.

"But why?"

cld3 is the engine Mastodon uses for language classification.

If you generally only toot in one language (I don't, I can't use myself as an example), and don't mind me scraping your toots for analysis (I won't publish anything), let me know in a DM.

I'm eventually going to publish the results on my blog or something.

so uh

basically, a friend went to a bbq joint for lunch on monday, and long story short, my phone ended up suggesting "Solutions" as the word to go after "Gender," cuz of course gender is going to get involved in any discussion between two trans people, so i went with it, and ve responded with...

gender.solutions

so guess what i worked on tonight

gender.solutions/

that's about all i can say about that

Speaking as a history major: History is FULL of cases where things seemed inevitable, then changed. Sometimes the shifts take time. Sometimes they can be surprisingly sudden.

And in all of history, there were people on the periphery. There were those who didn't agree with those in power. There were those who resisted, and those who spoke on the periphery, well away from prying ears. But radical ideas have never died.

Morning folks. It’s already Wednesday. You’re doing great. Just keep going.

And don’t skip breakfast. Food is good.

me: cool, this number is gonna be a solid, simple folk ballad rolling along in 3 the entire time
also me: *has written five meter changes, two metric modulations, and four unexpected key switchups and is only at the first chorus* #AmWriting #Whoops

RT @bhilburn@twitter.com: Whoever made this is a genius. I'm still chuckling.
