Playing Superhot, since my attempts to play Splatoon 2 have been thwarted. Not a long game, but it's good - and I like the aesthetic.

Reboots and updates don't help so it's looking like a hardware issue. Going to be a pain getting a replacement, too, looking at current stock levels for anything Switch related :-/

I set out to make some notes for a one-session Traveller adventure and I seem to have ended up with the outlines of a complete Ruritanian campaign setting. Ah well, more than is needed is life.

The thing about these exercises in "setting goals" is that high-level managers set the tone and everyone understands what's expected of them so all you ever get is the same re-hashed clichés. If you gave actual power to staff and asked some specific questions you'd get a very different result.

Love this new team-building exercise where we all stand around the projector wondering if anyone has a cable.

I mean, I'm all for not doing anything useful but I was going to work on my notes for this evening's Traveller game.

tfw you arrive at work to find your boss has booked an "away day" with no agenda in a venue five minutes down the road.

(You'll need to adjust the sugar according to your preference and the sharpness of the gooseberries. Taste and see.)

Incidentally, if you want a good way to make gooseberry fool then it's:

300gm gooseberries
300ml double cream
3 tablespoons sugar
A little butter (25gm?)

Top and tail the gooseberries, put them in a pan with the sugar and butter, cover and cook until they've gone pale and started to burst. Squish any whole gooseberries with the back of a spoon.

Allow to cool completely - overnight in a fridge is best.

Whip the cream, then fold in the gooseberries.

Chill.

(Yes I know the tag's a joke but this one really annoys me. And it's everywhere.)
