Wouldn't mind trying Secret World Legends, but the install repeatedly crashes my PC with about a 25% chance of a BIOS error when it reboots.

Running a game of Traveller for the first time in many years and I've just realised the "feudal technocracy" government type is a euphemism for state socialism.

I seem to be getting a lot of stress and anxiety symptoms for someone whose life is basically fine. I should probably find myself a therapist, but social anxiety makes that a tough move...

I know why designers don't do it, but I think I'd enjoy a game that gets easier as you progress.

(I'm particularly thinking of the tendency for stories to echo Protestant conversion narratives rather than, say, the cautionary tales of divine intervention in Classical or Viking culture, but there's also the interesting tension between polytheistic and monotheistic ideas of what a god is for.)

Just read Paladin of Souls and first thought is that there's a dissertation to be written about the uncomfortable relationship American Protestant culture has with fantasy polytheism.

...are poor choices for a bereavement card, even for an ex, so I've gone with something tasteful. But the urge was there.
