Wired: Trashing a day's work because the user requested a change that doesn't work then being told "it wasn't that important".

Tired: Me.

@nikita Ultra-long toots are considered discourteous, though. Which is kinda anarchist.

(I tend to side-eye instances with enormous character limits because it suggests they're for sealions and people who love to hold forth.)

@nikita Yes, basically. Here on witches.town the limit is 666 characters, but there are a few instances with limits of 2000 characters or more.

what if striking meant just having such impressive looks that the bosses just gave up

@noelle (Although now I think, I realise I had The Clouds confused with The Birds. The Birds is the one I like and I need to do some rereading.)

@noelle The Frogs is my favourite, with The Clouds maybe second (I’d call it satire). The Wasps is also very good, but you need a quick primer on the Athenian law courts to appreciate it. I like Lysistrata too, but I think it gets overrated.

@Monzz Everything will be very expensive, but you probably know that already :-)

Hit me up when you have questions.

@Monzz Nerdy London peep here, though I’m not particularly well-connected. Where are you moving from, and what would you like to know?

@nev More like the modern genre of “Serious Novelist writes a Serious Novel about Tintin/James Bond/Biggles/Sooty/etc”, I think.

Me: What a nice sunny day! I think I’ll walk down to the library.
Weather: We are excited to introduce our refreshing new blend of hail and sleet, served on umbrella-defeating gusts of icy wind.

A very fat squirrel is methodically gathering food from our ground feeder and burying it in one of the large pots by the house.

(To give that some context: it’s a basic belief of authoritarian conservatism that strict rules are all that keep us from reverting to a Hobbesian state of nature, so naturally they want to blame everything on the hippies.)

Person on a forum I read trying to blame sexual harassment on “the free love generation”. I see you, Tory bastard.

@kibi You’re not wrong though. Speaking from a perspective of more than twice that.

@NattyGov This is the opposite of a problem.
