somethin I see a lot when people push back against drag is that "it should be okay for guys to dress in womens clothes too" and, yes, I don't disagree with that
its just that drag specifically is about making a performance out of trans-ness, making being queer into a show
@fluttergirly I’m with you on this, but I do also see how people could find drag can be liberating precisely because it reduces gender signifiers to parody. (Judith Butler helped make sense of this for me, in particular.)

@fluttergirly At the very least, I think it’s significant that I know a number of gay fans of Drag Race but no trans ones.
