Supportive as I am of the UCU strike, it's stressful af for me. I am not sure which reading lists are up to date, I'm not entirely sure when I do or don't have lectures (beyond next week I guess no one is, so that's fair enough but argh). All of this is really bad for a student who struggles with organization at the best of times and always second-guesses what I think I remember being told.

@hollyamory This is also why academics don’t like going on strike, and why it’s hard to keep the strikes solid. Which is what UUK are counting on this time, I think. Vice-chancellors don’t have to care as much.

Yeah, all three of my lecturers are taking part and they clearly all really hate this, bless them.

@hollyamory I’m not all that keen to be taking part myself and I’m not even academic. (I’d be happier if UCU didn’t have a long history of talking big and then folding during negotiations, too, but what are the alternatives?)
