Next: hand-chop half a kilo of mushrooms into 2mm pieces, to make the stuffing for mushroom pancakes. (I usually make double quantities, so this won’t be as bad as previous years.)
Pancakes filled and folded. Next: peel beetroot and celeriac for soup. Then I’m into the home stretch - just the fish and potatoes. (Should be carp but I couldn’t be bothered this year. Salmon with a nice cream-and-herb sauce.)
