I'm in a very small team and not at all interested in project management, so I'm mostly struck by the irony of replacing "email your co-worker" with "update Trello, thus sending an email to your co-worker". I'm sure it makes my boss' life easier, though, and it seems fairly painless to use.

It's not cool to replace emails but to replace some of them used to do project management, it's nice! I hope your manager will not try to replace all of your emails and just use it as a tool to manage tasks.
