(Trying to practice taking selfies, but so far my two looks are (i) blank-faced automaton or (ii) "I am attempting to emulate the human 'smile', as you call it".)
@ghost_bird lawd selfies take so much practice!! i felt like it was ballet class again like "change this oh no while you were concentrating on that this bit stopped". Like instead of fixed my hip angle and my arm is wrong now its... it's actually exactly that.
And then not SCOWLING IN CONCENTRATION lol.
PLUS how do i hold my phone where i don't drop it and it looks ok and isnt in the way and i can also press the button???
Frustrating, but worth it. Much like ballet (for me). :p
@Keltoi That's good to know, actually. I know intellectually that selfies take work, but that's not the same as grappling with the reality... and of course attitudes to "selfie culture" include the assumption that it's vapid because it's easy.
@ghost_bird defs not as easy as it looks! the same people malign models for "just standing there" with no idea of how much effort it takes!
