just a reminder to not link your keybase with a not-whois-privacy'd domain if you dont want your online identity linked with your job one, same goes for linking it to linkdin or your github. not that its a bad thing to link them, just that it can be

@geekylou you put your public/private keys on it, your public key becomes public, and you link identities to confirm that hte keybase saying its you is you
@Nire ah ok my profiles just cross reference each other so I'm not sure why that's not enough.
@geekylou and if they super need to check they can ask you to sign a message, and then decrypt it with your public key to verify its you (because if a signed message decrypts with the public key, it means they used the correct private key, and are either them or /super/ fucked)
@geekylou it exists more as a way to do PGP and disseminate keys instead of putting your public keys in everything, and exists to verify that those accounts are, in fact, you if someone needs to check
