I can't watch Star Trek because of its pandering to white people and males (and in one series, an annoying young nerd boy...) :/
Like the only series I liked and watched the entirety of was Deep Space Nine. Is there any science fiction series out there like it? 😭😭

@TipsyTentacle Steven universe? at first it seems like it's going to be pandering to the little white boy but then it's super queer and feminist and deconstructs toxic masculinity

Supergirl starts out super annoying and then gets enjoyable as a feminist viewer

outside of TV, there are more options

@aprrrl (^_^) I really enjoy Steven Universe, despite it being a bit childish in the beginning.
I'll definitely check out Supergirl, thank you. (:

on the topic of shows feminists can watch without rage

I LOVE the anime "school live!"

part of the joy is learning what the show is really about. try to avoid spoilers and don't give up until you finish the first episode. there is a period during ep1 when you will think I must really like pointless school anime but trust me!

@aprrrl I really like pretty much all of ghibli's work. Especially kiki's delivery service.

@geekylou Naussica and Spirited Away are my faves. It's been ages since I saw Mononoke, though - I should rewatch
