This is Wendy Carlos, who is a composer and one of the pioneers of electronic music.
She was involved in the development of the Moog Synthesizer and helped to establish the Synthesizer as a proper musical instrument in the public eye.
Her most wildly known works are her soundtracks for the Stanley Kubrick's films "A Clockwork Orange" and "The Shining".
As you can tell from the pictures she's not only a huge nerd but also very fond of cats. #transhistory
