I'm struggling to think of stories that haven't been told that I want to tell.
That is, traditional fantasy seems really... Overplayed? For me to make anything worth contributing.
I want something visually striking.

I've got a story in my head now. Excellent.
It's gonna take a lot of tweaking, but I had this story idea a long while ago that needs some refinement but would make a really fascinating project to work on.
Sort of an epistolary science fiction project.

@fluffy My fiance and I have been talking about this book, The Soul of an Octopus, that they've been reading. It basically posits that an Octopus contains a capacity for human-level intelligence, but on a different - almost entirely alien - scope from ours, to such a point that we don't /consider/ it true intelligence.
I want to examine the same thing, but with AI from that perspective.

It would basically be a method of me examining what an intelligence outside of our direct comprehension would create in terms of a culture.
