@Maenad This is so, so true. I've attended a couple retreats now where a few of the workshops made me cringe because of this.

Even the instructor for the CCH program I did was way, way out of line with some of her teachings. (Which went into the course review.) For example, she taught a "medicine wheel" crystal layout & then said while the 12 outer ring stones have traditional correspondences, you should feel free to replace them with "whatever you like, like the 12 months of the year." NO. NO, you shouldn't. And she shouldn't be making them or teaching that!

No, Mum, I can't just burn the sage outside (in the wind and sloppy snow) if we're talking about spaceclearing the house like, say, the living room.

(She's got really bad asthma, so it's understandable that burning sage is out. Just means I need to make/use a smudge spray.)

I'm looking at some seriously heinous HTML and CSS use right now. Like, I can't even unravel their choices in so many nested div classes. There is no way anyone can easily fix this if something breaks. No way. It's a snarled mess.

Oh right I need to do laundry before I leave for the weekend. (I have weekly out of town counselling session Fridays, so I've been spending a few days with my grandmother afterward.)

Yeah, that's part of why it irritates me. They're splitting it up to charge more for it, which ends up costing patrons more. But yes, it utterly kills low-end pledges (anything $5 and less, I think was the last figure I saw?) which makes up a lot of the user base.

Yeeeeeap. It's the "per pledge" that pisses me off. You are processing my card ONCE. That means you are ETHICALLY only allowed to charge ONE processing fee.

Creators all over the place are decrying this new system, and some have posted screencaps of the multiple pages of their lost pledges.
