There is no end of the number of times it has to ber very forcefully said, "I am not married." And partially, it's just like... this is why Ms was created. Screw you, if you don't know someone's marital status, don't freaking assume. THE NEUTRAL TERM, USE IT. THAT IS WHY IT IS THERE.
