@shaunduke I'm a weirdo and really like Do! Pilgrims of the Flying Temple, The Dresden Files RPG, Apocalypse World. I also adore more trad games like Pathfinder, Exalted. Not a huge fan of social combat-heavy games 'cause I suck at improv. Give me dice and fun/interesting mechanics, and I'll give it a go.
Oh, also -- check out dice.camp! The entire instance is geared toward tabletop gamers. :D
@shaunduke You're welcome. :)
Rapport definitely helps! That's part of what made my first AW game so much more comfortable than it could have been, given how much that system is dialogue-/description-driven. Playing with friends, we were all new to it, and just zero bothers were given, you know?
@felyn Yeah, I totally understand that. Last time I played D&D, I basically went in saying "I'm just here to be ridiculous for laughs." Worked like a charm.
@felyn I will! Thanks for the rec!
Improv is a tough one to do well. I find it helps to have good rapport with people in your group, but that can be tough sometimes.
