I had such an amazing dream last night. I was being led into an alternate world by this dude who was a kinda mystical Gandalf-Sage-type figure. He took me to this sprawling fantastical city with towering spires and oddly stacked buildings-on-buildings. Everything was red and dusty and windy. He led me to a flat rooftop with a small nondescript square doorway that he had to unseal magically for us to enter, but as he was going through before me, a storm hit. Huge boulders and rocks -
started raining from the sky. Now on the other side of the door with me stuck on the city side, he cast a small magical shield of protection around the doorway that I had to huddle inside to wait for the storm to pass. Eventually it did, and the sky cleared and revealed the city in its normal non-storm-inflicted state; white and blue and gold, pristine and glistening and wonderful. I had a good vantage point from the rooftop. After admiring a moment I stepped through the little doorway -
into a Mines of Moria type secret labyrinth that was hidden 'inside' the city (not beneath it, but rather 'behind' it, existing in the same space but magically concealed). We met up with some other people and formed an adventuring party, and there was this one guy, a druid type in a leather kilt with leather straps over his chest, who was behaving badly; aloof and arrogant. We didn't get along. After exploring a while our party split up and the druid went with the other group. -
I don't remember the middle bit, but a little later something happened, monsters were attacking or something, and so the party I was with took shelter in a little room. The druid found us, the rest of his party had fallen. His skin was red and he was feverish, as if he'd been bitten or poisoned by something. I told him he didn't look well and our healer started preparing something to help him. He sat down and dropped the attitude, apologising and saying he was threatened -
@WelshPixie Woooooow :o
@feli It was quite nuts, hehe. The bits I do remember are really vivid too.
