I've been thinking about muiltiblocks again. Writing up some drafts and ideas in between font and UI shenanigans. Baiscally: EIO capacitors look bad but are Very Good. ImmEng machines look good but are Very Bad. We can fix this. We have the technology.

I resisted dark themes for a very long time. Everyone pushing them was all THE WHITE, IT BLINDS, or IT'S COOL LOOKIN, and I never really saw the appeal. Ever since running across fairy floss, I keep remaking more of my desktop into pinks, purples, and aqua greens, and it keeps making me happy!

...but I guess it means I'm officially a darktheme edgelord now. Oh well. It's worth it.

@zyabin101 Oh neat! I don't need import, I just need OpenType "rlig"/"required ligature" support and decent grid-snapping. I've already started from scratch several times learning how far I can push line weights.

@jeffcliff A great example of this was the "expansion truce" that happened at the opening of Burning Crusade in WoW. Nobody fought each other until the first members of each faction hit level cap. It was really wild to see. Collusion and social interaction expressly forbidden, yet social understanding formed.

@jeffcliff Depends on how you draw the line on "game" vs "not-a-game". In a zero-sum game, social interaction is subject to game theory (mainly, the prisoner's dilemma). But that's not all games. If all the humans are on one team in a player-versus-environment setting, social structures emerge *even if they're expressly forbidden by the game rules*. They're not just possible, they're necessary. They necessarily form.

Why can't we just have nice games where we're nice to each other and also build things

Also, apparently Fortnite is free now and they turned it into PUBG, so... I'll be skipping that one :/

I wonder if anyone has ever played a decent MMO for 96 hours and felt like they had a good appreciation for its quality
