@Hiraelle
Death Parade, Stein's Gate, Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Gungrave, and Ao no Exorcist are all spectacular anime, but... all of those are pretty intense mixed feels.
Made in Abyss has some intense bits, but it has overall more of a lighthearted feel, or better yet, if you liked Gurren Lagann but haven't watched Kill La Kill, that's an excellent place to go
@tiredjules I hear that - I'm actually in one of those red districts in NJ right now, grew up split between NE and MA, so everywhere I go is culture shock to me X) Western MA is really red too, and we're unfortunately responsible for Mitt Romney (and by extension, Romneycare, and by extension, Obamacare), so nothing's really certain in politics, even in "safe" territory.
@pinkprius What's interesting to me is that a lot of these stories are in northern new england - MA, NJ, ME, really really blue territory. Texas or Utah doesn't surprise me. MA does.
@CalmBit I'd 100% give up enum constructors for first-class structs and unions though. It's still a good trade.
@CalmBit Yeah like, maybe go to a table-based lanugage like lua or py instead, where the game is made up and the points don't matter.
@CalmBit I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Sometimes it's necessary though :/
@CalmBit yes, c++ stdlib.
@CalmBit I see your problem. You're using stdlib :P
@CalmBit Crap, I'm thinking normal, not uniform. Distribution is hard.
@CalmBit Uniform distribution doesn't *have* bounds. It has an origin and a standard deviation, so there will *almost certainly* be numbers outside the range with sufficiently large iteration counts.
My solution for this is usually to just start a new workspace, reattach pods and code to it, and sweep the mess under the rug. But uggghhhhh... that's still a mess! Build reproduceability is dead on this platform.
It shouldn't be a rocket science rollercoaster to sign an iOS app built and provisioned for the simulator, to run in the iOS simulator. And yet, here we are again.
Late stage capitalism: Apple pays bounties of hundreds of thousands of dollars just to have key vulnerabilities reported to them first.
Also late stage capitalism: Most vulnerabilities sold to the gray market at 2-3 times the bounty.
ALSO late stage capitalism: You know what, screw ALL these people. I'm just going to tweet it so users can secure their shit.
@LottieVixen Twitter is leaking
@Baerd They swabbed the exterior of the station and found a variety of organisms that weren't there at launch. The problem is, the station has been up there for decades with frequent crew rotations and resupplies, so it's almost definitely from earth.
@Baerd Have they found tardigrades up there too? They can definitely survive a hard vacuum like that, but I haven't seen anything saying that. Just "and other organisms". You know what, yeah. I bet they mean tardigrades X)
By the way, the bacteria on the exterior of the space station? I'm calling it now, not of alien origin. We don't need to grasp at straws for a cool story here: π₯πππ£π ππ£π ππππ₯ππ£ππ π π π₯ππ ππ©π₯ππ£ππ π£ π π π₯ππ π€π‘πππ π€π₯ππ₯ππ π

Updated my graphics card drivers and now I'm getting screen tearing in mastodon. *Only* mastodon. It's very strange.
