@arjaybe Here in Germany, some big bank lobbyists keep complaining about the strong presence of cooperative banks, too, and they invoke "unfair competition" as well. It's important to note that the cooperative banks have been successful for many decades, without any state aid. Furthermore, German credit cooperatives even pay more taxes than the big private banks.

this NHL season i have a bit of a weird goal, for me. i want to watch each game, or at least the highlights from each game of my favorite team: the LA kings. i am succeeding so far and it's felt awesome. also watching highlights is so easy. i can see how all the other teams are doing, and after having a break from watching hockey for like 5 years, im so shocked by who is still in the league, and how people who were first year players 5 years ago have grown.
if theres any queer, trans, poc accountants in berlin or who would be willing to work in berlin, my company is hiring. its a startup that teaches web development to refugees and people on jobcenter. its a ridiculous working environment with completely scattered management, but they will pay well and its not bad to have a lot of freedom. also good for people without a lot of experience. they are desperate.
