millennials... sorry, "millineals"' latest victim: that evergreen internet search term we all know and love, "big breast" mastodon.social/media/bLM5v2hi

Just got my ticket for 34c3 :D

i studied urban planning while being a homeless beggar and trans woman activist... i know some shit about that city.

furthermore, i know what its like to be part of the culture that the new hipster techies just love to be around because they can say to the ppl back home "my neighborhood is so weird and i love it", and the culture they take part in displacing because they get social capital from us (minorities) yet we get our homes stolen, prices raised, and their politics taking over.

Stop the lies about San Francisco being progressive.

* Tech industry sexism and racism infecting and destroying politically progressive communities

* Govt corruption underbuilding low income housing and permitting the destruction of existing low income housing

* Progressive people, unionized workers, even teachers can no longer afford it, and have been displaced.

Its a feelgood neoliberal consumerist shithole, with only a thin veener of "ethical consumption" over the real inequality behind.

"UC Berkeley chancellor unveils 'Free Speech Year' as right-wing speakers plan campus events"

Berkeley gets so much credit for being 'progressive' and I feel like people need to know that it's a neoliberal instituation which is basically AT BEST part of the conservative democratic establishment. Even at the Milo protests last year, most protestors were not students but Bay Area locals. Berkeley is really far gone from progressivism. It's the rich kid public school.

just now a bum just threw a leaking bag of filthy garbage right at my legs... and thin tried to fight me...

and i was actually assaulted by a city bus driver today and i would really appreciate if men stopped assaulting me...

as Pineapple (Pynapple?), my python masto bot framework, nears completion, i'm thinking about example bots it should ship with.

so far i have a dicebot (which will be operating on @roll as soon as i fix a couple last bugs) and i'm working on a bot that'll evaluate tracery grammars.

anyone got other ideas of simple-conceptual bots that would be useful?

but being a femme trans woman with no uni degree and education history in urban planning, i feel pretty pessimistic about my chances in tech jobs. and what tech experiece i have is either in anti gentrificrtion or transgender tech activism, or working as the administrator of a legal cannabis growth tracking system... i look like a stoner socialist :3 true to life.

i considered using my legal name on the resume just because i think there might be the chance i get called in for more interviews with a more typically male name. gotta get in the door somehow.

this weekend i made my first *real* tech job resume, and even tho its not so strong, im still proud of myself for having some quality projects to put on it. im also proud of myself for having a "languages" section :3

one complicated thing was choosing wether or not to put my legal name or preferred name on it... i chose chosen first name, legal last name. in california, i could absolutely use my chosen names, but in germany i worry that would be suspicious >_<
